People should know better. There is absolutely no reason that parents cannot take their babies into bathrooms to change them. Many public washrooms have diaper changing stations.
It's really no different than bringing your dog into a public place and letting it **** on the floor.

OMG--have you actually seen this? I have never, in a million years, thought about doing this.
Most restaurants have baby changing stations in the restrooms. However, for those that don't, the parents should take their child to their car and change them.
I don't think the parents should be sterilized, but I do think they should have to take a mandatory cleanliness and sanitation class. That's just gross. They have to continue to eat their meal on a table that just had a poopy diaper on it. Not to mention most restaurants' employees wouldn't know how to clean a table properly if it bit them on the @ss. I get so sick and tired of seeing the bussers come out with some filthy rag full of food crumbs, stained brown, and wipe only the visibly dirty parts of the table off. They should lift the condiments and wipe the edges of the table too. But I digress...

There is absolutely NO excuse for that! If I was in a situation I couldn't find a suitable place to change my baby I took her to my car and had a clean towel on hand for such a case. Good parents always have a backup for the baby's sake too!
To those parents: SHAPE UP...It takes a villiage, but it shouldn't have to!
I really believe that restaurant could loose it's license or at least be closed temporarily for health review. Geez how many ecoli breakouts do we all need? If nothing else, the restaurant should have thought of the LAW SUITS we all have.
Personally, I hope you never eat there again...and tell them why. Your worth better than that place!

Sterilizing the parents seems a little extreme.
I would be in favor of sterilizing the table though...

Sterilization is a severe course of action. however, perhaps some parenting classes and some health information. I personally have never witnessed anyone doing this. I would have to say something. God bless****

Gross. Obviously these parents are not very smart and should not have had children to begin with. There should be some kind of law that could fine them, just as they do if someone is caught peeing in the bushes.

I have absolutely never seen such behavior, however, if I were to witness such an event, I would alert management, advise them that I didn't feel that I could complete my meal and wanted the charges comped as they are a restaurant that would allow such behavior from patrons. And I would never be back to the restaurant again.
I think the management is as much to blame for allowing such behavior to go on as are the parents who would do this.

That is just nasty. I've had to change my babies on my lap in a bathroom because of lack of changing tables. They should be asked to leave, no negotiations.

maybe the restaurant should lose its license for allowing such behaviour? maybe they should provide a clean, comfortable place to change the child? how many mothers out there have been forced to change their child on the floor of a bathroom? maybe a child's health and comfort are more important than an adults?: the table can be disinfected, after all!
