Our Shepard had her pups at 63 days. She did not express any milk until the pups started to nurse. She started shredding the newspapers about an hour before the first pup was born. But all dogs are different. My dog didn't need help with delivering but my Grandmothers did.

60-63 days is the average, could be a little longer if it's her first litter. When they're getting close, their milk comes in, so yes, the dripping means the time is near!
They'll usually start looking for "their spot" about 12-24 hours before (Just depends on the dog...).

A female is pregnant anywhere from 58-63 days, she should be having babies any day now..My mini poodle was freaked out the first time she was running around the house dropping puppies everywhere..
