Not if you can prove you've got the financial ability to pay your expenses and demonstrate you will return to the Philippines after school.

Can you afford tuition at the foreign student rate at an American University ($15,000 - $50,000 per year)?

Shouldn't be hard at all. As long as you have the funds to cover your studies, you'll be fine. At your visa interview, make sure to emphasize your ties to home (car payments, house ownership, family members, job waiting for you when you get back, etc.). If they don't think you're gonna come back, they'll deny you on the spot.

The best thing to do would be to have a company from home sponsor you with a stipulation that'll you're required to come home and work for them after you get your degree.

Don't give up before you have tried? Use your computer to see what programs are available for foreign students that want to study in the USA. Also see if their are Filipino organizations that are the Philippines and in the USA and see if you qualified,,, before you make any other decision.. Good luck my friend and I hope you make it!!! Let me know if you made it.
