My dog coughs bad when she eats them. I know, I know, don't give her any. But just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem.

VMD produces Medi-Treats for cats and dogs, and a complete line of Medi-Cal pet foods which provide optimum nutrition essential for pets’ health and well-being. They are a quality dog treat made by Royal Cannin.

Maybe she is wolfing them down so fast that they are making her cough. There is no way that these treats are causing the cough, unless she is allergic to them.

I think they might have fish in them. You might check on the label.

Medi-cal is a very LOW quality food as are all vet formulated diets. Medical treats disgusting and should not be fed to your pet. Most people do not understand that vets do not have nutrition training and just prescribe whatever brand is sponsoring them.

If you want your dog to have good quality treats, look for holistic brands like Innova, Mother Nature, Wellness, Solid Gold, Canidae, etc or make your own.

PLease be bery wary of any nutritional information your vet provides you. It is mostly incorrect and biased.
