It is depressing though, to see most of the question inspire hatred towards muslims, rather than understanding of all faiths!

Yes you got it! and they will not stop the hate. Locally, many Christians, jews, muslims, and others feel the same way you do. I myself promote mutual understanding!

Not so much popular as a curiosity. No one understands the need to kill strangers & blame jews & the west for all that's wrong in the world. Yet when their own rip them off or hurt them they refuse to acknowledge it. True, Christians had their crusades as the muslims had their own equivalent. But that was 100s of years ago. Waco & Jim Jones proved there are still some of our own that at best are uncivilized & at worst are cruel & cold hearted. But they don't number in the thousands or millions. So many of the good Muslims won't speak out about the bad for fear or whatever. Thus it comes across as condoning the behavior. When a christian hears of another christian doing wrong they speak out because they realize the acts of one reflects on the group & their faith as a whole if they don't.

i think its understandable that there is so much attention paid to muslims, both here on YA and in the general media, because of the controvercy caused by the clash between our two cultures. But i also think that you're right, there is alot of dislike directed towards muslims, and the media is mainly to blame for this. People don't want to here the positive things, they only want to hear the bad. We hate things that we don't understand, and if people educated themselves a little more/ the media provided more positive and general informative information on Islam then there wouldn't be such a problem. The papers complain about the lack of integration of muslims into society as though its entirely the muslims' fault, when clearly they are doing nothing to help this.
Just remember though that you're not the only "minority" group who gets alot of fuss here on YA, and that some people are asking questions just to better understand Islam, which is a good thing if we are going to try and live in a world together.

I think everyone aspires to be like us!
It is very sad to see some people making hateful comments, especially to serious questions.
The Prophets (Peace be upon them all) came with their message from God. They taught forgiveness, humility, consideration, etc, etc.
It is some of the followers of the different religions who disobey or go astray. The religion as revealed by the Almighty is perfect.
So people should not judge the religion by its followers, but rather look at the religion for what it is - God's teachings revealed to man.
The questions which inspire hatred towards religions and beliefs and Prophets (pbut) should be deleted & the accounts should be closed immediately!! Especially the people who pretend to be of a certain religion, in order to insult that religion.

I think the take home point is that Islam is not popular and people like me want to ask hostile rhetorical questions about it.
There is no beautiful mystery behind Islam that will stop people disliking Islam. Islam is pretty much like Christianity was many centuries ago. We've evolved away from religious oppression in the west and we aren't going to turn back the clock.

Personally I check out all questions and answers to thry to get SOME understanding. I am CHristian myself but have been taught to love ALL my neighbors. And if I understand them a little better.....I can love them better

what the media shows is a total propaganda.. the ppl sendin these questions havent done any research by themselves .. they r just posting what they have heard on the Zionist media...
but those that have minds n think... have done research over islam n found it to be totally true:)

yes most of them are done by the same people. i feel sorry for those that post these questions that are ignorant. at least muslims follow thier religion to the letter.(not muslim im pagan)
