Britney Spears is a bad example. Britney Spears is famous BECAUSE of her looks and her body! I guess she can sing a little, too...

I just don't understand why a man would want a woman to be a piece of private property. There seems to be no respect at all for women in your culture, and that is so very sad, because you're dismissing half of the population. A part that is as human as you, as intelligent as you, as deserving of freedom and free speech as you.

My wife is my PARTNER. She is my soul mate, my confidante, my best friend. We laugh, we love, we WORK together, as a true team. There is absolutely no reason why she should be covered from head to toe. My wife is BEAUTIFUL, and I'm proud of her.

Do you really believe that women don't admire the male body?
Perhaps we should all run around like a bunch of walking cocoons. No individuality. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I don't want to live in your world, and I really feel sorry for you for all you're missing in this life. I know you live for the NEXT life, with you virgins. I guess it will be one big orgy on the other side, huh?

You live in some weird-*** fantasy land, man.

And one more thing. If there really IS a God, I sincerely believe that your kind are in for a very, very rude awakening.

Religious Gentleman: Do you really want your wives "attributes" to be open to public view like a meat market

Did you really think that you would NOT GET attacked by the last part of your question in YA.

A Christian woman does NOT have to be wrapped up from head to toe to love God and show her love for Him. Dress like you want to, but IF you read the Bible, in the Book of Timothy it SAYS that women AND men are to dress in modesty, not bandaged up like a mummy. Clothes that are worn that is decent attire are not condemed in God's Word.

Do you look at women whose attributes are open to public view?
If you do, can you say the you are a true Muslim?

I suppose there is no gays in Muslim country, because they would have a ball (wink, wink). Just think of the complications for your religion if this were to happen.

To get to your question, I only have one wife and she may decide for herself what she want to wear.
You should realize that, given the choice, most women will not degrade themselves. This only happens in the minds of men like you.

You can catch my drift so I will stop here.

It depends on what you mean by "attributes". I have no problem with my wife or daughters being in a bathing suit at the beach, or wearing a leotard to their gymnastics competitions.

If people ogle my wife or daughters, it is their own sick-headed problem, not mine.

I do think there is a limit, and there is a limit in my house, as far as high hemlines and low neck lines, etc, but I think it is also important to let people express themselves and dress how they like. That doesn't make things a "meat market".

I have to answer your comment - I'm sorry, it's just very sexist (and I'm not trying to slam you here).

I'm not a man (clearly), but I will say that my attributes are MINE to show off. While I would certainly take my sweetheart's views into consideration if he wasn't comfortable with something I was wearing, ultimately the decision is MINE as to what I clothe myself in, just as the decision to wear white sneakers with black pants is HIS, and I can't force him not to wear that no matter how much of a faux pas it is (yes, this is an ongoing debate between us).

While a woman should definitely take her significant other's feelings into consideration, it is not HIS decision what SHE wears.

Blessed Yule!

Modesty is a desirable virtue - if that's not a contradiction in terms -
but fashion involves personal taste which may or may not be regarded as immodest. Obviously at a certain point the facts speak for themselves.

I'm not a man, but I know my husband's views on this. He likes me to look nice, but kind of modest. Like no popping cleavage and thongs hanging out of my pants...not that I'd dress that way anyway. My "attributes" are only for him to see, as my husband. Not for every guy I come across to get a preview of.

First point : I do not 'own' my wife. She became my wife because she wanted to. She loves me and I love her. We both do our best to keep it that way.

If she wants to walk out tomorrow then she can. It will break my heart but its her choice. If I walk out tomorrow then the same rules apply.

We are together because we love each other. No other reason. If men lust after her then thats their problem.

If you cant handle that or feel insecure in such an arrangement then dont ever get married.

As for clothes: Im proud of her and she of me. We dress accordingly.

God did not make the flowers for us to cover. The flowers in another persons garden can be admired but not touched.

Friend, My wife & I are Christians, we believe in the Apostles of Old Teachings, We believe that Jesus Christ was the perfect offering sacrifice & his blood for our sins, We Believe God had Prophets in the Old Testament as well as the new, & we also believe God has Prophets today according to Ephesians 4:11-17, we believe in the Apostles teachings according to Acts 2:38-47, WE believe that all must be born again by the Holy Ghost, We know how to rightly divide the word of God. We believe that the head of the woman is her husband, But we also believe that the head of the husband is Christ & Christ head is God. Eph. chapter 5 explain it very clear, plus there is many more scriptures I can use, A woman head is her husband, But if that head does not Submit to Christ, that woman is not bound to obey her husband if the husband can not submit himself unto his head. Now as far as My wife attributes, She has long hair, almost down to waist, she wears long dresses down to her ankles, But she does not have to cover her face up & hide behind something. Her Covering is her hair, & Please sisters, if you can not grow long hair, that does not mean you are not a Christian. We are aware that many woman today can not grow long hair, But we can also see if a woman. when she cuts or trim her hair, there is a motive behind it, , So Muslim people, we are aware of what the covering are talking about & how to dress deceintly in public, My wife does not have to hide her face or cover it up, I will not ever treat my wife with such fanatically ideals & make her suffer in hot weather just to please someone's ideals, She is properly covered up with what she wears now. Long hair, Long dresses & decient clothing. The bible says to present your body a living sacrifise, Holy & accepetable unto God. And one more thing to the sisters, We are not saying to wear your dress down to your ankles as my wife does, Down to the knees is OK, above the Knee is a no, no. And I have not told my wife to wear her dress down to he ankles, she choose that on her own. But the way the Muslims try to put it is cover up everything, except their eyes, what if you had 10 woman the same size, & weight, & built, how will you know which one is your wife if she is all covered up. You may pick someone's else wife out of the 10. I also would like to add, The bible says if a man has found a wife, he has found a good thing.

Most men aren't driven to commit rape if they see a woman's hair, legs or arms. I don't know about muslim men, but men in other nations have the ability to control themselves and not blame it on women for "showing" too much. Women who live in hot climates shouldn't have to suffer wearing head to toe covering in the heat because men are ignorant.
