One of my Muslim Bible study member is going to go for a three month survival training to a a secret location. The place allows Christians around but they are not allowed to spread the word of Jesus.
There are still real people, who are risking their lives to save other people. So I concider myself lucky if I get a little bit insulted here on answers.
We just need to pray the prayer of Jesus "Father, forgive them because they do not know what they are doing."
Merry Christmas to you too!

beforehand the Crusades, extremely few. The conquered Christian topics were allowed to proceed worshipping interior the Christian way in the experience that they paid a tax. It made no economic experience to kill them out of hand. In 1099, the Crusaders massacred the Muslim and Jewish inhabitants of Jerusalem, beginning a Jihad feeling among the Muslims and then the violence spiralled. Persecuted online. Do you even know what persecution is? No one is threatening your life here. Is there someone at your house right at this moment with a gun to your head telling you to give up your religion or die?
Lemme help you out here. If you feel persecuted ONLINE, there's one way to deal with it. You see that X at the top right of your screen? Click it. No more persecution.
Why do people like you whine about persecution on the Internet? This is NOT persecution. And I have yet to see someone being persecuted because they are actually following Jesus' teachings. I see people getting mocked because they DON'T follow his teachings, while claiming they are "True Christians".
As for uncivilized behaviour, I would have to say this ranks right up there with everyone you are whining about. This is not being joyful - this is Whining. People like you just can not handle people with a different opinion on all of this. You call them uncivilized, yet you insult them by calling them that, then say Merry Christmas? And you have to wonder WHY you're being mocked??????????
Happy Yule

Yes, you are right. We need to pray for our enemies, not lash back out at them. When you lash back, you are sinning right along with them, even if you are defending but in a hateful way. You can defend your religion, but not in an insulting way. I will pray that all anti-Christians have their hearts warmed and opened so that they can be forgiven by God. I pray and thank God that I am strong in my beliefs and don't allow their negative talks to effect me and other Christians here.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AS WELL!
JESUS IS THE REASON!

Yes, and you should pray for them, because Jesus says to pray for those who persecute you. The people here on Y!A have helped me grow in my faith, and be able to defend it better.
Merry Christmas!

I'm not sure you have to have to go as far as thanking them.
It would be nice if you noted that not all atheists are uncivilised (Do check my answers and let me know if I've ever been out-of-order on politeness).
And, as an aside to one of your respondents, it should additionally be noted that not all ridicule comes as persecution of the faith itself. Stupid and abusive behaviour attracts it too. To claim that as evidence of persecution of Christianity is only to compound the problem.
To state most clearly:
There are some stupid and abusive Christians and atheists asking and answering some of these questions.
If we could igore them or otherwise get rid of them, we (both sides included) would be better off.

As a non christian [ I am an Atheist ] I do not belief I have been uncivilized toward people with other religious beliefs. Often I find the reverse is more the case. Having more respect/tolerance for other peoples beliefs would make our world a much better place. To under stand my beliefs better visit this link; http://www.godisimaginary.com/index.htm
Be good be nice, merry chistmas and a happy new year.

One thing I have noticed these past few hours was the uncivil persecution against the non-Christians and very little going the other way.

If you would like to see persecution, I suggest you look up some of PinkBabe's comments. She believes that Witches murder babies and animals and then eat them. And she repeats this FREQUENTLY. You want to talk about persecution, try being Pagan or Wiccan for a day.
Grow up. And have a Blessed Yule, jerk.

NO do not thank them, but pray for them instead. Who knows, maybe someone will finally say something that help these lost one's and turn their life around. Our job is to spread the Truth and plant the seed. God will take care of the rest weather the seed will grow or die.
