Heathrow is at a standstill! Thick fog here and freezing.
Thank God I booked the train to Edinburgh last week for Saturday!

Stansted Airport is currently not being directly affected by the Weather in the South-East (it is outside of the Thames basin, and also doesn't have the same tightness of slot control as Heathrow). However, that's not to say there won't be knock-on effects or a weather change tomorrow.
BAA currently have a holding page for its airports' departures up at http://www.stanstedairport.com/STN_D.html - I recommend monitoring this closely.
If it looks like you could possibly be delayed or cancelled, then it is worth researching your options and putting EZY call centre numbers in your phone in advance. Ticket desks and call centres get easily overwhelmed in such situations, and it's very handy to 'put yourself to the front of the queue' as it were.

each so often a flight is in the back of schedule because of the fact the flight is UNDERBOOKED. if so, if, alongside the entire direction, the flight would be underutilized, the airline would replace a smaller, extra-low in fee craft. they have the suitable to try this. and consistent with risk that smaller craft is a million,000 miles away: that makes for a 2-hour put off -- or extra. I as quickly as flew on a one hundred+-seat airplane as certainly one of 7 passengers -- 'reason the airplane replaced into necessary someplace else, and would have been ferried there even without passengers.

Easyjet and Ryanair seem to be coping OK.
It's just the world's favourite airline that couldn't give a damn about customer service and has left thousands stranded.
Why on earth don't they just push the timetables back and slowly clear the backlog? After all it's just a glorified bus service.

Everything is as normal from Stansted, but go to www.stanstedairport.com and they have an update on the travel and weather conditions - just checked it for myself.
