Hinduism, Christianity, Islam...are not 3 religions, but they are only one Faith in the Progressive Revelation of the One True God.
When you declare faith in one religion, you don't have to blindly bind yourself to the rituals which are developped by men; the essence of faith is to learn the sacred verses and practice them in your daily life. Regardless of any names you may bear, your practice of selfless love will please God. If you observe all formalities without sacrificing anything for the benefit of mankind, your faith is only fanaticism or hypocrisy.
Please read the Holy Books and make your own choice.

Well my first question is "Why?"
I mean, changing a religion is not like chaning jobs or where you life. A religion is meant to be a system by which you connect with God(s). This isn't about "pluses" or "minuses" this is about methods and core beliefes. Peronsally I don't feel you "find" a religion more so than being "called" to one.
I'd checkout www.belief.net, not only can it tell you the diferent idelologies of the various faiths from all over the world, but there is also a quiz you can take (it's long so do so when you have some spare time) that asks you hard questions about how YOU view spirituality at this time. From there it will give you a give you a breakdown of what you are most alike - you may even surprise yourself. If you do take the test don't try and answer how you've been taught to answer and answer what you personally feel is important. When I took it myself I was 92% Hindu, even though I've been raised Catholic my whole life... I'd never identified with the Catholic church and that's what prompted me to start my own spirtiual journey.

You should be converted only because of spiritual reasons.
You ask about pluses and minuses, which leads to conclusion that you want to gain something from it. I am christian, and I wouldn't convert to anything else, although I think that Hinduism is quite interesting, and I would like to learn more about it.
Basically, all of religions have more or less same, universal message. There is difference in worshiping, i.e. religious rituals.
All big religions that exist today (including Hinduism) were established long time ago, and they had big influence in way of living in the areas where they are predominant (books are written to explain how, for example, protestantism influenced on expanding capitalism, etc). Now, you must take many things in account when you take so big step in your life and see how will that suit for you, but I repeat, you must as first have spiritual reason - to discover, to feel inside you that you are meant to be Christan. Every other reason is unfair.

if indeed you are wanting to convert and become a christian i would suggest you "jump off into the deep end"
go to a kingdom hall of jehovazz witnessess
you will find these people (as a group) to be the most serious bi ble students on the planet
then after a while of studying with the jehovazz witnesses, becoming almost totally immersed in thier christianity, then i would suggest you go to a charismatic church
this way you will get a sampling from one extreme to the other
of course if you want to go the middle road, then go to the methodist church

Christ himself warned that there would be many claiming to follow him & teach God's truth, who would not be true followers. So you need to be very careful if you want to learn actual Bible truth, that you find Christ's true followers to learn it from. Make sure that all the teachings are based on --& in harmony with-- all Bible Scripture, praying for God's guidance to be able to do so.
The following Bible-based publications act as guides to subjects taught in the Scriptures. I include links to those that provide answers to your question ...

You can become christian without accepting any religion just have to believe in christ I guess... The plus is you get lots of new friends who believe in christ like you. The minus is you believe in something you havent seen or touched just because a book says so true or not. I would suggest you convert to my religion instead but I cant tell you what my religion is untill you read this book I made and say you believe in someone who existed 1000s of years ago and claimed to be the only man to ever exist... Honestly tho I can tell you what my spiritual beliefs are if you PM me or something.

If you are having doubts about your "religion" sounds like you are being drawn to the truth by the Holy Spirit. As you realize you are a sinner and Jesus is your Savior--seek HIm. Admit you are in need of Jesus -- ask forgiveness of your sins-- ask Him to be Lord of your life and believe you receive Him -- tell someone and attend a Christian church near you.

My guy, there is no minus at all, not to talk of minusses. In christianity, there are lots of plusses for you. The Bible commands that all should be born-again, by admitting we are sinners, confessing and renouncing those sins and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. There is no minus for you in christianity!
