Mine hurt because they were impacted. But at the moment I have a 14 month old son who is teething and having a terrible time, so I don't think it's just wisdom teeth that hurt.

It depends on each case. It could be because the soft tissue around it is infected because it's hard to clean. It could be decayed. It could be biting the soft tissue of the opposing arch. a pocket could be between the wisdom tooth and the tooth anterior to it and food could be accumilating there... Briefly, it depends on the case...

Wisdom tooth is the new one to the existing tooth family.moreover wisdom tooth doesn't have the enough space to place its base.that's why its paining and its growing irregularly.

Because the teeth grow from the jaw bone. They push through the gum tissue, and usually don't have a lot of room. If in severe pain, contact dentist. They may be coming in sideways or be compacted............................
