When a guy is 29, he is 29. Nothing more, nothing less. Some children walk and talk earlier than others. this kind of an issue is no different. Maturity knows no "set" age.
Responsible behavior and conduct are perhaps the best way to determine if a man is ready to settle or not.

Some guys are ready to settle down, some don't want commitment. A guy would settle down and get married if he found the right woman.

Guys are guys the same as women we are all different my son has just settled down with a 32 year old with 3 children and he is so happy. yet i know someone that has been together for 18 years and he isn't ready to settle down, he still wants the high life with his mates. it all depends on what that guy wants and no woman can MAKE a man settle down no matter what they do it entirely up to that person him/herself.

some will settle down some never will even if they marry. yes some are afraid and some just don't want to and some do. and yes some will always be on the chase. same for some woman as well. age? over 26 you should know what you do and do not want if you even want it at all.

You should settle down when you meet the right person, I am not out for the chase but at 33 still have not meet miss right (not miss right now). I am just looking for miss right and will not lower my standards to find her, there is nothing to be scared off if you feel you are doing the right thing.

Goodness knows! I guess everyone differs dont they? I think by 29 they probably would like to settle down especially if all their friends have.
Im a woman and Im scared to settle down, I guess Im the odd one out.

Not sure how YOU define settle down. I'm 41. Marriage? Been there, done that! I am a single parent, with a 14yr old son. I haven't met a woman in 13 years who wants to hook up with a single dad for any kind of relationship. So, I still have plenty of 'wild oats' to sew.

Not from what Iv seen.I work in a pub and there is abunch of lads sorry 'men' between the age of about 21 and 55 average age being 28/29 and out of a group of about thirty only three of them are married and about two have serious girlfriends. A pretty girl walks in its like flies round ****
Its funny to watch but I do think the situation is a bit sad!!

not all. but most men are ready to settly down at 29. they are old and mature enough to know the requisites of settling down. stability and the capacity to raise a family is also present. but that is for average men. some may still ahve second thoughts or some prefer to be single for life. :)

it is the age that would want to make a guy want to settle down, it is the maturity of the mind, there are men of 40 years that still play around while they are men of 27 that want to settle down,it is a mind thing.
A guy would want to settle down cos he has found the right girl.
some guys are afraid of settling down cos they are not sure of their girls
