In jail we call it a page two. When you are out, it means they are lacking paperwork, but they have what it takes to remove the Pending.

A Felony is only given after conviction. You could be charged with a felony, making it a pending charge. Innocent until proven guilty. Dont ever answer any questions or sign statements to a law enforcement officer. It will be used against you in court. There is also what is known as an SIS suspended imposition of sentence. This is a pending felony charge that is droped after completion of your probation. Only a judge can see this charge

The difference is the felony is a crime served by a year or more in the county jail, but more likely served in prison.
The PENDING felony charge means that it will be YOU spending that time as soon as the charges are authorized.

at one time or another you were stopped by the police for a felony crime and probably were arrested then let go. The reason the felony charge is pending is because the state hasnt chosen to file charges on you yet.

A felony is a serious crime that can be in 6 different degrees.
A pending felony charge means the agency is waiting for the county, or state attorney to file on it.

A felony is a major crime, a pending felony charge is something yet to happen, because of maybe insufficient evidence against you.

The pending charge means no indictment has been handed down from a Grand Jury as yet.
Felony charge means the Grand Jury saw the evidence and it was True Billed, OK to go to trial.

It means it is still pending and the actual charges have not been filed by the DA.

YOu;ll be fine getting in since you have the Visa already. As with some of the other posters, I'm going to strongly advise you stay far far away from controlled substances while you are in China. China has VERY strict penalties for drugs. Drug traffickers are routinely executed. Regardless of the fact that you are not from China, you will be subject to all the laws of China. The only thing the US consulars office can do if you are arrested is say "hello" to you from the other side of the bars. HTH D
