You should get all kinds of "nice" answers for this one lol

I wonder why the Creationists continue with this line? I guess they can't see that far ahead - Creationists are all Christian. I have yet to see a Jew, Muslim or Pagan fall under that label. What will they do if the Gov't decides to place Creationism into the schools, yet upholds the Constitution and allows ALL religions to give their take on how it was brought about? I don't think they realize they are creating a huge mess for themselves - but then, of course, this will be another reason for them to sit at home in their Lazy-Boy's and whine that they are being persecuted. "It's not fair"

They probably do in the History class -- with the Aristotle stuff.

There are theories and there are maximal theories. We study the maximal theories more because they are "most probably" true as the experimental data matches the conclusions that they draw.(Yay! The little I read in Physics stuck to my head! ;) )

Even maximal theories can be disproved. Only they probably will not be, because there is so much experimental data that shows that they might be true.

Ok, but I answered out of turn. I am really not a creationist.

LAZ,
I can make another list of "great minds" who don't exactly go against Copernician claptrap. So there! LMAO.

Great comments. I really enjoy the Steiner cirriculem for children, from my point of view it's metaphysics 101 and by providing a foundation that allows those inclined to pursue metaphysical material from a sophisticated viewpoint later in life. I often judge a metaphysical group by how they address children's development. It is so much easier for a person with a well rounded upbrinking to develop into a well balanced adult. I tell my children that I will introduce they to many different viewpoints but they need to decide what speaks to them.

Many scientific theories are flawed. Take a look at the ever so weakening Big Bang theory. Scientists are running in circles because they keep ariving at contradictory facts. Such as...Scientists have measured the age of the Universe to be around 14 Billion years old. But yet the Hubble telescope has discovered stars and globular clusters that are much older. How can stars be older than the universe they are in?

No, the sun is at the centre of the solar system, the earth and all the other celestial bodies orbit the sun, not the earth, this has been proved by science, nasa, it was even proved by galiao in the 1600
so why would we teach children a pack of lies.

i hope thats what you were asking

It's about time we denounced all of this Copernican claptrap and restored Ptolemy to his rightful place.

After all, there are many great minds that favored a geocentric universe, amongst them -

Dr. Thomas Aquinas
Prof. Tycho Brahe
Friedrich Nietzsche
Plato
Aristotle

Doesn't the fact that these great minds believed in Geocentric theory mean that you ought to at least CONSIDER the possibility?

*grin*

Take care,

Laz

I don't know what you are saying about earth-centered solar system. Our planet is not in the center of our universe, There is millions of universes. But all Created by God.

Earth is the center of the universe and everything revolves around it. It's the truth, it says so in middle eastern tales and legends.

I have my own theory ... both are correct. I think God created the world using the geologic processes we study that took billions of years. Granted, I don't mention my theory in Church. :)

in spite of your attempt to be silly think of it, if we do not care does it matter? since we are as far as we know the only thinking creature in that universe, whatever we want to call it is our decision. We can debate it anyway we want but we are still the only opinion in the court.
