When religion becomes more important than people it is no longer Christian. Jesus was all about the people.

You answered your own question. Using logic, what is more important, religion or God Almighty compared to people? The idea is to direct people to God Almighty and to Heaven and the only way to do that is with God's help and through the authority of Jesus Christ. This is religion and these two deities are far more important than people in general. That's not really true, they are there for people in general.

Religion is more important for than people because God should come first and then family and friends. God would have done different things for people in their lifetime for them to have a good reason to put God first.

well i am only 14 =P but il have a go (all that crap they teach us in school where else am i gonna use it?)

religion is a way for someone to feel accecpted, they form groups and worship something (god) after awhile this becomes a major religion,
christianisme (hehe stupid christians) is supposed to make people feel like they have a reason... that they aernt just some overgrown monkey... christians believe in religion because they are afraid of the truth... (EVOLUTION)
GET REAL ASSHOLES!!!
um anyway...
people like christians, buddists, Islam, Hinduism... etc
put their religion before themselves so they can protect god or keep inner peace or believe in the sun god (morons)

haha peace out!! =P

Religion gets corrupted just as does any other thing that sinful man touches. The truth hurts. That's why Jesus Christ had to die. That's why he was killed, because of corrupted religion. And simply because sin exists. Does that make believing in Jesus Christ more important than people?

I think that an Idea of peace and love is more important than me.
That goes for all religions, Christianity, Muslim, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism. The example of love is religion and more important than any one being.

although it is seemingly harder to put yourself BEFORE your religion, most people fail to realize that you are the most important thing in your life, most people cant think logicaly without quoting scripture anymore, this makes it seem as if people are losing there grip on reality , its really sad to think that people are actually putting there religion first before friends and family.

i hope this was helpful

Religion ( any religion) takes FAITH.
You have FAITH in Darwin? Ever met him??
No but you know he existed and you know his teachings and philosophies. You BELIEVE in what he says and who he was. You have FAITH in that.
my FAITH is with GOD. ( as is most of the world although they may know him by different names)
My God IS ( not was) He works in my life daily and he speaks to my heart. I KNOW he is, was and will always be. He is God.
Darwin WAS a MAN.
God made him and loved him and maybe even forgave him for teaching his fool philosophies and theories.
GOD is GOD. it takes faith.
What do you have faith in??

It shouldnt. God is within us all. We dont need religion. Religion is simply a teaching tool that is there when we need it.

People are greedy and will do anything to get what they want.
Power and greed are the downfall of religion.
