The Bible is still number one. Considering that Harvard, Yale and Princeton when first started were based on Biblical beliefs.

I am a bible believer but let me just ask one question. Wouldn't the world be a better place if we just lived by the Bible's principles? No matter if you believe it or not the things it tells us not to do are our problems. It's states "If you know to do something good and don't do it, it's bad". Makes sense to me.

I can't say that any book is stupid. It didn't write itself. The Bible to me, is a guideline for some but expresses the opinions, biases, and vision of men. Therefore as man is flawed the Bible is also. People will take from any book what fits how they think and work it into "truth". I have yet to see one cleric fight to portray Jesus as He is described in the Bible as having skin of bronze and hair of wool. That blonde haired, blue eyed false image is still pushed as His appearance and it's wrong. Man and mans perceptions of acceptance.

Some people see it that way because they are Spititually Ignorant. Anything people read and do not understand they say it is stupid because they do not want to admit their ignorance of the subject. The people who CAN SEE Spiritually are enlightened by the truth and learn from it. The Truth sometimes hurts as the saying goes.

dear deadman: i do not understand your logic to this. the Bible is a love letter, to us from God himself, the people who don't like or understand the Bible, are the folks who are living a life that they know they shouldn't be, and don't want to hear that they are living a lie.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
