She has been given about 2 months to live but at the moment is happy, lively and loving, enjoying life, food and walks to the full.

There really isn't much you can do. Keep her comfortable and enjoy the time you have left. BUT at the very moment she starts to have any signs of discomfort please don't allow her to suffer.

Why is it that the tumor has not removed?
My dog was 11yrs old and the Vet found a tumor on her pancreas. We spent $1300.00 to save her life. She was great for
3 months but then on the morning of Jan 1st I took her to animal emergency at 5:30 am. She was sleeping and she urinating uncontrollably(on my bed) $2300.00 later on Jan. 5Th still in the emergency Hospital I held her in my arms as she was induced with Euthanasia. She was in an oxygen chamber with IV and a nasal tube. We did the most we could do of us 7 different Dr.s and a lot of money. I guess we were being selfish by trying to keep her for us. I don't really know the real answer to that. But we loved her and I know she loved us.

The answer to your question now that I waisted your time reading my crap. ISSS I don't think there is anyway to slow down any tumor in animals. not yet at least. It would be so great if you could just inject into the tumor some sort of acid just to kill it and it would be gone.
Soooo sorry to hear this, good luck, enjoy the time that's left.
AAANNNNDDD always remember the good times you've had.
SORRY

Let her enjoy the time she has. Continue to love her and do the things she enjoys. Once she starts to decline or the pain starts to effect her then you can put her down. Other than that talk to an herbalist and you may be able to slow down the progress of the tumour by adding herbs to her diet. Take lots of pictures and lots of walks together. Good luck.

Why didn't you ask this question of your vet? I'm sure he/she could tell you if there is anything you can do. This is too important to rely on a bunch of strangers on the internet.

Also, regarding one of the answers before mine: if she's enjoying a great quality of life for now, there is nothing selfish about letting her live it. Still, please consider it if she appears to be in pain. You will know when it's time. It's a difficult decision, but one you will feel good about later. It's the last gift of love you can give to her.

I'm very sorry for your impending loss. Losing a dog can be like losing a part of yourself.

Only humans understand mortality so that does not concern your dog. As long as she is happy and not in pain you should enjoy her company. She may very well pass away peacefully but if the need arises please don't let her suffer.

Stop being so selfish and end her suffering; have her put down. It's painless.
