We flew our cats from Texas to the UK alone. You need to contact a company that deals in animal relocations. They will take care of all the airlines etc. These people are not cheap but you do need their help with all the documentation.

These people are your starting point.

Wow that's a long flight. Ask the military for help. There used to be an airlines called "Flying Tigers" that transported military personnel from one place to another. They were bought out by UPS.

You can also advertise in a Florida newspaper for someone flying to Okinawa to bring her with them for a small fee. I'm sure you can find a caring animal lover to help you in this situation. I would.

You need to check with some of the cargo carriers to see if they will transport live animals, but before you do, check out Japanese law regarding importing animals. They have extremely strict quarentine laws (no expections, including service animals like seeing eye dogs) in order to prevent the spread of disease. Your dog would be kept locked up for several months away from you. I know that you miss her, but is it really worth is to put her through that?

Contact a few major dog breeders in the US. If anybody knows how to send an animal overseas they would. To find a reputable breeder you might look on the internet, or in adds in Dog World magazine. Look for a kennel that ships puppies overseas.

You need to check into Air Cargo. I also know the military provides assistance for relocation - You should contact your relocation coordinator.

Why not call a friend back home and see if he/she can find someone who is going to Japan and see if they are willing to take your dog with them?
