Probably this brahma is another fast-talking babbler who would sell used cars if he made it into another life.

Brahma Sahampati belongs to the Brahma realm,where beings there have very long life-span and aslo have amazing psychic power.They are not the creator of the universe.
All Buddhists are very grateful to Brahma Sahampati for requesting the Buddha to teach the Dhamma.

If the one true God Almighty met Buddha, it would be in the Bible I would think. Not there. Few people met and spoke directly to God.

Go read Gita or Mandukya Upanishad. Would clear things up a bit (I think)
