He can try, although he shouldn't be to surprised if he gets told off. A grown man can dress himself however he sees fit. I would let pops know advice and opinions are welcomed but your going to dress how you want.

Yes, but the 27 year old son is under no obligation to listen. This rule is modified if the 27 year old is living under the father's roof.

I'm 34, and my father is still making "suggestions". Every now and again I get the "I bought you into this world, I'll take you right back out again too" tone as well...
A father can say it, but at 27 you'd hope that a son could make up his own mind whether to listen oir not and the father could respect the decision.

Yes he can. But why would a 27 year old listen to his advice?

Yes of course. I am surprised to hear such kind of question.
As you are a father you love your son and have close emotions for your son. It is absolutely fine if you suggest him.
But remember don't be too rigid. Do not order him every-time what to do and what not to do. Let him think, and then give your suggestions.
If your suggestions are accepted or not, doesn't matter but you can tell anything to your son as you are his father.
Treat your son not as a child but as a friend.

If you still live under your fathers roof, you dont nessecarly have to listen to him but if you do, it might make life alot easier around the home between the two of you.

no way!!!
clothes arent only there to cover up the naked hide... they are also your identity, what you express who you are through. he cant impose himself or his ideas on you, it doesnt matter at what age. as long as you are old enough to dress yourself... does he buy you clothes? but then if it is for religious beliefs and what not, it would be understandable. like what not to wear when going to church, but in every day life... nah, ah!

if hes still supporting him.. he can tell him what to wear right down to the underwear.. but if he is a big boy and on his own.. then you can suggest.. but he does not have to do squat. try explaining why he should dress different and give real world examples.. but don't expect much
