I can't help feeling so depressed and lonely, espeically with the xmas and new yrs eve coming..
Eveyrone seems to with their gf and bf unlike me who's always alone (i'm 20 yr old guy btw)
I actaully know this girl, she's only my friend atm but i'm reluctant to ask her out, since we out friends within a group within our univerisity...like i I've met her for the first time now, I would...but now i'm not so keen to ruin the positive friendship that's keeping our group together..
Dilemma dilemma.

first of all don't feel lonely .
if you want to take that girl out than don't ask her directly .
talk her by saying that you want to celebrate this christmas and
new year with your best friend and ask her to guess who's that friend is and take her name.
if you want to know what she feels for you than tell her in joke that
she is the person you love most
if she say yes than it's ok . if no than tell her you are joking

Oh noooo 20!! Did you know you grow scales at 21?..no really I would just nurture the friendship. Don't rush into bf/gf stuff. I forced it when I was in college and wasted 3.5 years.. I broke it off a few months before graduation... I was like "I don't need anybody, i have my job I'm all set to get out of here" and then I met my now husband.. being desperate is never a good foundation to a relationship..just enjoy the single thing..there's a time and place.. and the right person will come along! Already 20....only 20. my son was like u and rushed into marriage with someone he met on the internet at the age of 20 and they separated by the time he was 23.He is now 27 and has grown up heaps and now he has finally found" the" girl . Spend your young years finding out who u are and enjoying your own company and the company of your friends then u will be happier and will appear more attractive to the girls.

You're 20 and already worried about this kind of nonsense. Stop being afraid and suck it up, be a man, soldier. Loneliness is what you want because it is going to make you stonger in life. It will make the wait worth fighting for because later on you won't be alone because somebody will be in your life. And worse case scenario, let's just say that you are still alone, it's perfectly fine because you have endured it before, so now it should be 2nd nature to you. It also means you are no longer affected by loneliness.

What? Depression is all in ur head it is very easy to defeat if you put ur mind to it. In some drastic cases I understand depression but in this case, you are not depressed you are just reaching out for sympathy...you want someone to feel sorry for you. Happiness is what you make of it. I am 20 yo and I am single, and I am having the time of my life! If my purpose is to be single forever then fine whatever I'll enjoy the things that single ppl enjoy. If my purpose is to finally meet that "someone" and become a husband/family man then thats what I'll do to the fullest. Im not gonna dwell on something i have no control over. Get off ur self pity and get out and enjoy the things that single men can. We dont have to put up with bs everytime we want to hang out with friends, we can go out and get drunk and come home at any hour, watch any tv show i feel like watching, do anything i want to do, i can mess up my house and leave it that way as long as i want b/c no one is gonna tell me how to live, i can stay up all hours of hte night and not listen to someone get mad the next day for not going to bed with them. Defeating depression is learning how to find the good out of anything that happens. You are stuck feeling sry for urself and wanting someone else to say "awwww" well to bad suck it up...be a damn man about it and get out there and get some strange ***!!!

Dude. Ever heard about new year resolutions? Comon, be a man. If you really like the girl, let her know that, ask her out. If she says no, it won't harm the friendship within your group of friends. It is a compliment, not an offensive thing to ask! There's no point in waiting.
