This whole flap about cartoon Mohamed, with muslims making death threats and demonstrating in teh streets, and firebombing Danish Embassies.. I have seen Christianity insulted far more emphatically, and with more disresepct intended. (Piss Christ comes to mind, Jesusdressup.com, and countless other websites that intentionally insult Christianity..

I don't get it....

Yes. Jesus, Himself, was mocked and ridiculed. He told us we would be mocked. We don't like it, but we expect it.

you are not the one being bombed by USA/Israel/Europe and slaughtered by USA trained and supplied death squads. Every little conflict anywhere else in the world is called Islamic no matter who starts it. Yes Darfur is Horrible but who is supplying the guns and planes. If you say it is Saudi then those are your allies. If you say Qaddafi He is an ally as well.

I suppose having the strongest armies with the most firepower the world has ever seen lets the Christians feel a little bit tolerant, but not much. Just look at the over 10% that agree with Fred Phelps even if they are not members of his church. Same deal with Gerry Falwell who openly declared that God would approve of the murder of Chavez. (Odd thing is that he is expressing the bible fairly accurately..)

Also you will not find the stories of Moderates in your papers, It does not sell copy or advertising

First of all, please don't take the "Christ" out of CHRISTian and don't take the "Christ" out of CHRISTmas. Not for any reason. The Bible is very specific...if we deny Him before men, He will deny us before the Father which is in heaven.

Secondly, thin skinned is one way but better would be obsessed. Unfortunately, Christians don't always stand when we should. We should be outraged and we are called on by God to put on the whole armor of God to fight the wiles of the Devil. We oftentimes prefer to not get involved. Well, we better start because the time is coming when God will touch His Son on the shoulder and say, "Jesus, go bring my family home to Me". That translates to the Rapture of the Saints which will usher in the signing of a seven-year peace treaty with Israel and that event will be the 1st day of the 7-year Tribulation led by none other that the Antichrist. Shortly after that event begins, I feel quite strongly that the other religions of the world will wish they could have "overs".

Holy crap! Did Black_hol.. just ask "when have muslims ever insulted christians or any other religion?"! Try looking at any muslim newspaper with cartoons of jews, for christ's sake! Talk about being out of touch with reality!

Yes, muslims act like spoiled babies every time anyone looks at them cross-eyed. "Death to everyone for anything!" is their battle cry, and they're doing their best to implement that.

But hey, I respect Islam as much as I do any other religion...

And candyness defends this absurd reaction without question. You could say her logic is on par with her grammar.

What are you saying, Muslimah? That rioting and killing over freaking *cartoons* is justified??!!

Muslims are more prone to commit violence than Christians when their religion is insulted. Jesus taught to, "Love your enemies and bless those who curse you (Matthew 5:43-48)." Muslims are taught to kill all those who do not accept Elijah Mohammad as Allah's prophet, which is why God will deal with them directly at the judgment.

I though getting upset at the pope was a bit over the top. Why should Muslims care what the pope says? I mean who's more irrelevant than the pope?

When Catholics disagree with the pope they simply ignore him. Example: Birth control rules. If Catholics can ignore their own pope why can't Muslims ignore the pope?

Did a Muslim insult Jesus?? Tell us pls.
If some of us have violent reactions, do not generalize, they are a minority. I, for one, do not agree with burning of embassies or any similar acts.
Try to be fair in judging others.

Perhaps Islam is not a very robust religion and so needs its followers to fight perceived wrongs against Allah and Mohamed etc because they can't do anything about it themselves?
