Nope, they're both equally repugnant, as is Judaism and its bastard son, Zionism. It's not the details in different religions that upset us, it's the very idea of praying to an imaginary deity that makes us doubt the sanity of our species.
Islam seems to be going thru its Dark Ages now, the way Christinsanity did when it was also 1400 years old. But if Islam takes over and comes after the infidels, Atheists and christians alike, I will prefer beheading over burning at the stake.

No! There are extremists and fundamentalists in both Islam and Christianity who want to force their beliefs on everyone else. And why should it be assumed that all pagans and atheists have a negative view of Christianity? In my experience, pagans and atheists tend to be a lot more tolerant of other religious beliefs than either Islam or Christianity. Just because they follow their own spiritual path it does not automatically mean that pagans and atheists have a negative view of other religions. Nor is it likely that the "angst in Islam" would drive them towards a Christian church. Why should someone who is content with their spirituality, or lack of it, reconsider Christianity anyway? It is not the only way, despite what the churches and preachers insist, and the question seems to assume that all pagans and atheists come from a Christian background in the first place.

No, Islam is a different religion, its existance, troubled or not, has little to no bearing with the issues that I find in christianity.
I could in fact turn it round 'is all the angst in islam making you pause and reconsider your negative view of atheism?'
What an odd question.

To be honest?
I don't consider my view of Christianity or Islam as "negative".
We each are in the places we are supposed to be. What you choose as the spirituality you follow is good for you. What I choose as a spirituality is good for me.
As for the "angst in Islam" - it's all one sided. I figure there will be another Crusade, and all the Christians will go and off all the Moslem's, and then a rapture will occur (where is that in the bible again?) and all the Christians will go where ever, and we will be left with the earth and with peace at last.

I didn't have a negative view of Christianity in the first place but all the angst has made me come to the conclusion that Islam is a warped, fanatical religion that breeds hate and terror!!!

I never had a negative view of Christianity. I am frankly better than comparing my religion to others. Paganism isn't about condemning other people. Islam, Christianity, it's all the same to me.

No, in as much as I have never had a negative view of Christianity, I used to be Christian.
All the angst about religion generally gets me down though, why can't we all just agree to differ? Why do we have to fight wars in the name of 'the true religion'? If someone has a different viewpoint from me, I don't bash their brains in - what would be the point? they won't convert just because we disagreed and I hit them!

I don't have a negative view of Christianity. I've met negative Christians which reflect badly on the religion, but I try not to lump all in with the negative ones.

I have a negative view on all religions, however, i must admit some religions are worse than others.
Some are non offensive like Buddhism but in general they are delusional.
There leaders should be all considered as minor philosophers and striped of all nonsense regarding a God. Their ideas are now out of date and if Mohamed & Jesus etc were withus now as intelegent people they would probably Humanists.
