you can't tell if a guy likes you just if he smiles.
guys smile for a lot of reasons, just because his eyes appeared to be shining, it could have been because of the lighting. people's eyes don't 'shine' naturally anyways, so that has nothing to do with anything.
the best way to find out if he likes you is to ask him directly, since you seem to be so sure that he already does. if you don't want to use that approach, give him a big smile yourself and watch his reaction. If he smiles back at you, I'll say you have a chance, but if he looks confused, he definately doesn't like you.
also, just because a guy knows your name, it's not like he's obsessed with you or even likes you. I'm sick of that stereotype. I"m sorry, but it bothers me.
