Hello there,

This can be done at home but this is quite dangerous and I guess boring in a way. I hope you don't mind me saying it.

I would suggest you go to the gym for the following reasons :

1) To avail of different training equipment
2) To avail services of a good instructor
3) Probably have opportunity to join different lessons and classes
4) So that weight training is more enjoyable with friends
5) A lot of other things :)

So I really dont suggest you do this alone.

I hope this helps.

Realistically there's only so much you can do at home, unless you plan on spending some significance cash on a home-gym...

But any exercise is better than none, so if you must avoid the gym, start with some pushups (for your chest, shoulders and triceps), buy a pull-up bar (back, rear shoulders and biceps) and crunches (abs),

That's the most basic "full body" workout you can do. Again it's way better than the couch and tv, but don't expect this to transform your body.
