that is strange, he can be involved in the issues you both face, but you cant talk about them? how else will they be resolved? my ex was like that alot, and then it came down to he never had time to talk about anything important with me..so I divorced him. These type of guys (those who wont discuss important issues) basically DONT THINK. Look at them as guys just kinda wandering around aimlessly...
I think you need to say to him that if he cant talk about things with you, which is obviously important for you, let him know you think things between you two may not work out, and you may have to leave him. As you said as well, he wont talk about matters that pertain to the two of you so why would you want to stay with that? and this looks like the start to a one way street relationship.

This is something that is not gonna change so if you have that big of a problem with it then get out now...this is from a guy who is the exact same way. I am independent and if i have problem id rather work it out my own and i dont expect anyone to throw problems out at me (or issues or whatever). I find that "discussing" issues turns out to be one sided and it ends up in someone bitching about something that i really dont care to much about. He sound like a guy who just goes with the flow and tends not to worry, thats how i am and regardless of whether he talks about the issues or not they will get worked out, unless you continue to bother him with these "issues"....

seems like he thinks there is no problem, or the problem is too small to deal with. Why do you feel it is necessary to drag hin into an argument? Remember, it's not an obligation until he is actually married. As a BF, he can leave at any time.

Well, its quite common that men are afraid of conflicts, and find it hard to talk about feelings. You should try to talk to him, and ask him why he does not want to talk.
It migth even be that he thinks that its kinda "gayich" to talk about feelings, and if he is homeofobic you shoul address this issues with him.

Maybe you just have an irritating voice when you complain. Try seeing a voice therapist. Perhaps if your voice changed he may want to listen.
