Ok my friends father recently died and at the funeral some guy came up to her and said that he was her fathers son. She had never met him, never heard of him nothing, her mom dosent know who he is know one has ever heard anything about him. My friends father had some money which he left for her and her siblings. This guy is like 15 years older than my friend. They are going to get DNA test but havent yet. Do you think this could be a scam or really could be true? I just dont know how I would handle that if I were her. She is the oldest of five from her mom and dad. And now there might be someone older then her. He said he has know for a while that thats his father. Know one knows if her father knew about him or not.

Wait for the test results but honestly it could be either way. More than likely it is a scam but there is a possibility that he could be telling the truth. Your friend's father was only married once as far as your friend knew but sometimes people have secret lives. The father could have been married before and lied about it. He could have had an affair or even a one night stand. These are possible scenarios but the thing that makes me suspicious is why is this "brother" just now making contact?

It sounds like a bollywood movie if he just did'nt ran away after saying so may be he is i mean if it's just a prank then why would he go for dna testing but then if u really want a correct ans then first tell us did ur friends father had a 2nd marraige with ur freinds mother if yes then maybe ur friends father left him for some reason if no then this guy is really a danger as u said about the money which is left for ur friend and her siblings maybe he wants a share of that money and is pretending to be a parted bro of ur freind whatever it is u and friend need to be exta careful wiht this guy.

Well since he did not leave when they told him he had to have a DNA test he might really be their brother. This would really be hard to accept especially at a time like this. But he could also be scamming them you have to be really careful. Sometimes people does things like this when you are going through a bad time and you do not realize it until it is to late. They are being smart having a DNA test done. Good Luck

There is always the possibility that it is true, but if he's getting tested, then yes, she should just wait for the results. People are very money-greedy these days and it's amazing how low they will sink to get their hands on it.

Of course it can be true. Why second guess; just wait for the DNA test.

I would be very sceptical untill DNA tests confirmed he was in fact related. People would do anything for money these days..
