Of course condoms don't cure aids...they are not supposed to. But they do help keep it from spreading, and they also help cut down on pregnancies. The deaths in Africa are not just caused by aids. Starvation due to overpopulation is another cause, and there are likely to be others that I don't know anything about. So, since we definitely are our brothers keeper, and that means ALL our bothers and ALL our sisters, then no one who has any true sense of morals could possible say that it is not our problem. It is every person's problem, and will continue to be until there are no more people dying for preventable reasons.

Since when is it the responsibility of Christian groups and the US Govt to pass out condoms? What have you done for any of these people? Stop demonizing the wonderful charities that helps the less fortunate and reflect on yourself for a change.

Hmm. I seem to recall C. Everett Koop ( Surgeon General of the United States under Reagan) being very pro condom use... Many, but if you are looking for reasonableness from Christian aid groups, you are misguided, theirs is not to distribute condoms, theirs is to spread their message of Jesus loving, and God fearing, to keep people from needing condoms... doesn't work, but tell them that....

Actually I personally sponsor a child in India. We write to each other all the time. If it wasnt for the Christian Aid group that helps his village they would be living in the streets starving.
