You have to absolve your own "sins". Thinking someone (anyone) else can do it for you is folly. (Sorry) ... but does it seem logical that someone else could do it *for* you? Forget for a moment that this is what you were taught. Does it seem logical? Why would you *not* be responsible for your own actions? Think about it.

There was no way to legitimately remove Satan from power without Christ's sacrifice.

Satan, the prince of this world, first had to be cast out. Only then could sins be forgiven.

It's like the U.S. Civil War.

Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclaimation, but if the union forces never invaded the south and routed the confederate forces, the slaves would have remained slaves.

Possible? Yes, because Christ is God incarnate and God can do anything. However, under the Law, there had to be a blood sacrifice to "cover" the sins of the people. That blood, impure, could only push their sins back for a time - it did not atone for them. God can't look upon sin. It must be covered by blood. The impure blood of the sacrificial animals wasn't enough so He became flesh in the form of His only begotten Son who became the supreme sacrifice so that the purest blood would not just push our sins back but would atone completely for them and wash us white as snow. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this because it is only through His precious blood that we truly have a future.

No, and he didn't God did. As the Lamb of God, he fulfilled the covenant of the Sacrificial Lamb. Yearly, a lamb was sacrificed in the Temple to absolve the Jews of their sins. The lamb's throat was slit, allowing its soul to pour out on the grand, than its flesh burned by fire. This is why the fleshly body of Christ could not be resurrected, as it had to be destroyed to fulfill the covenant.

Dear Beloved in Christ,
The Holy Bible says, " And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Hebrews 9:22

According to this Word Jesus had to die on the cross.(crucified)

I would answer NO.

This is one of those situations that I feel you are better off not questioning God's methods. He is all-knowing and knows what is best for us.

Besides, what a loving gesture on his part.

He prayed if there was some other way, let it be done, but since he was killed, I can only believe there was no other way to gain atonement for our sins.

Only a chucklehead would ask for absolution without crucifiction.

i read some where that it is not the crucification that counts..its the willingness to empty himself in the form of a human leaving his Godly nature..
