No, it does not insult Jesus Christ.
Some think it is amn insult to Jesus because they incorrectly think that the priest sacrifices Jesus at the Mass, thus making it seem that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was not good enough.
The priest DOES NOT sacrifice Jesus at the Mass. At the Mass, the people bring up bread and wine. The priest takes the bread and wine, blesses them, and asks the Holy Spirit to make them into the Body and Blood of Christ. The Body and Blood of Christ is then given to the people.
There is a way in which the mass can be seen as a sacrifice if you see "sacrifice" as "giving of yourself fro teh benefit of others". The sacrifice of the cross is when Jesus gave up His life so that we would not have to die for our sins. The sacrifice of the Mass is Jesus giving Himelf to us in the Eucharist the same way He gave Himself to His disciples at the Last Supper.

What? you've obviously miss the obvious.... Catholics are first Christians hence the Catholic Mass is the Christian Mass. It is the highest form of Christian worship. It is the greatest prayer to God within the Christian religion. You'd better educate yourself on Christian history before asking questions that are based on a false dichotomy.
Sure hope Ray also applies for a better bible study class.

The Mass is the perfect prayer, the fulfillment of the Jewish Passover, the definitive sacrifice of the New Testament, and the commemoration of Jesus and the last supper, all in one.
If that offends someone, let them take it up with God, who ordained it.

insult - no. the mass reveres and gives all glory & honour to Jesus in the mass. the mass is filled with praise, reverence, teaching and worship to Jesus Christ alone. for through the mass we are brought into communion with Jesus.

don't be deceived
I find the catholic mass to be misleading to some of Jesus's teachings.
For example Jesus teaches that ceremonial foods are of no value.
But when I went to mass, they make it out to be very important.
Also no one but Jesus can forgive sins yest the priest tells us he absolves us.
and "The Pope" is appointed by men and is no closer to the father then you or I necesarily.
Read the bible. Let it teach you and pray for the truth and the holy spirit in Jesus name.
HE did so much for us.
We owe him so much.
Thank you Jesus.
