What helps me? Being able to stop and ask myself how much this is going to matter in ten minutes. Or in an hour. Or a day. Two weeks? Five years? You get the picture.

Im probably one of the most impatient ppl in the world...waiting is absolutely ridiculous IMO...i mean i go to wal-mart, i have to walk around myself and find the items i want myself, and then take it up to some slow *** retarded cashier that complains about their job constantly and spends half of their time taking their sweet *** time and i have to wait b/c of this moron? I cant stand it.

Do not try and help your "patience", its a part of you, its a blip, a characteristic, a trait that you have...its practically impossible to get rid of a characteristic of yours and IMO there is nothing wrong with it b/c i assume you get impatient b/c of mediocrity or stupidity. I dont mind waiting if someone is intelligently and full heartedly doing their job, just when this POS is screwing around half assing things....

A deep breath. In through the nose, and out through the mouth. If you can, try to imagine that the stress and impatience are going out with the exhale and that peace and patience are coming in through the inhale.

It sounds hokey, but it works.

Getting older helps -- and realizing that others will think much more highly of you if you remain calm and dignified. This doesn't mean you have to be a doormat -- you can still voice your opinion, without rudeness, or opt to just exit the scene.

I find that punching somebody in the face helps to relax me when I am feeling impatient.

just listen more, and dont jump in, let the person finnish what he or she is saying, and then give your input, but be sure to use suttle words and no harsh words.
