Getting into a RMF (Ready Made Family) is a difficult one. Not only because you are trying to find out what that person is like but you also you have to take into consideration the child's feelings plus the biological father etc... The relationship is going to be 4 times more complicated than seeing someone with no baggage, but plenty of people have taken on RMF's and had a fulfilled life.

I married a woman with a child and I got to tell you that their is no job in the world more difficult and frustrating than being a stepparent. I love my wife and stepson, but no one should enter into such a relationship thinking it's going to be easy.

I am 55 and in my younger days I have. It would be wrong of the mother to have several men or relationships around her child. One should not be introduced to the child until you and your G/F are on solid ground.

Yes, it would. If you place yourself in the "father's role," you can be held to pay CHILD SUPPORT, regardless of whether or not you actually provided the genes to it. No woman is worth being a wage-slave for 18 years, especially if it's not your kid.

np. i wouldn't have to be passionate about her either. with all the divorces today, there is a good chance at least half of the available women have kids.

I am a single mother now and I have not come across one man yet that was scared off by my being a mother. It's a big suprise to me. Thanks a lot to the men that feel this way.
