My mum who lives in Italy wants lime marmalade for Xmas (as part of a package of presents). Security restrictions mean I can't take lime marmalade through hand luggage but I can buy it before I board. I don't want to check it in as I don't have enough luggage to require a check in and it seems ridiculous to check in a bag just because of lime marmalade. Does anyone know if lime marmalade can be bought at Heathrow Terminal 2?

There are several shops inside Terminal 2 which may serve. "The Whistlestop" (a convenience store) and "Whittards" (teas and coffees) may have lime marmalade. "Boots" is a pharmacy. You could try ringing these shops to see if they sell lime marmalade.

It may be easier to purchase the lime marmalade and ship it to her via DHL. However, please check the security restrictions again. When I flew last week, we were allowed to bring small quantities of liquids and lotions aboard the plane if they were in ziploc bags. I believe the containers had to be less than 3 ounces.

Good luck and happy Christmas!
