Christianity is the largest religion in the world. Catholicism alone is larger than any other religion. So, when you say, "we are in big trouble now as more than half of the wold's population are not Christian." I have to ardently tell you are in the minority and always will be. It is not mere chance that has made Christianity the largest religion in the world but Divine Providence. The book of Acts says that each day they (apostles) added to their number those who were being saved.
WE TOO BELIEVE IN ONE GOD!
DEMONSTRATING EXISTENCE OF THE HOLY TRINITY:
The HOLY TRINITY is defined as:
A term used since A.D. 200 to denote the central doctrine of the Christian religion. God, who is one and unique in his infinite substance or nature, is three really distinct persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The one and only God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Yet God the Father is not God the Son, but generates the Son eternally, as the Son is eternally begotten. The Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son, but a distinct person having his divine nature from the Father and Son by eternal procession. The three divine persons are co-equal, co-eternal, and consubstantial and deserve co-equal glory and adoration.
We need to know how we are created in God's image to grasp the concept of the Holy Trinity and I think your question is a good one.
To understand this better, chart it out or use a diagram of two triangles of equal proportions like the Star of David. This allows an easier understanding of the relationship between the Essence and Existence of a thing. The following words should be distinguished in the following categories: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual. These three words encompass everything in the Universe and make up the CREATIVE PROCESS to help describe the Creator, creatures, and creation.
God is spirit. He cannot be seen. If you were to examine all the creatures, the CREATOR has made a pattern emerges: angels and demons are intellectual creatures without a body; plants and animals do not have an intellect but a body and mortal soul. IT IS ONLY LIVING, HUMAN, BEINGS, that have a MIND, BODY, and SOUL. Only human beings have all three. Now, living, human, being is the existence of man. Those words describe the essence of man's mind, body, and soul. The Body is living, the Mind makes us human and distinguishing us from animals, and our Soul makes us the being that we become (good or evil).
Now, even Muslims will agree Allah is omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), and omnipresent (ever present). These words describe the existence of God. So, what is the essence of God? I will hold off answering this question till the end.
Now, if you think about the existence of a person they have a triple existence: physical (body), mental (mind), and spiritual (eternal soul). In fact, whenever we create something it has all three of these parts. When we cook we have a recipe (in our mind), we gather all the raw ingredients, and we cook (don't burn it, ha ha) what it is we are making. Cooking has the physical, mental, and spiritual parts. Same with engineering or technology it has three parts: the blueprints (to convey an idea), the raw materials (physical), and the workmanship (spiritual). If something goes wrong investigators will look for a design flaw, material flaw, or faulty workmanship. THIS DEMONSTRATES CREATION HAS THREE PARTS LIKE THE CREATOR.

The claim that there is only one God is not arrogant. It is monotheism.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states,
About Judaism: "The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God's revelation in the Old Covenant. To the Jews "belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ"; "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.
About Islam: The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day.
About other non-Christian religions: All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city.
With love in Christ.

Completely false. You are doing exactly what my dad does. Youre stereotyping all democrats as one good thing and republicans as all one bad thing while claiming that the Bible actually teaches liberalism. Where in the Bible does it say to accept anything the world does? On the contrary it says> 9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good -Romans 12:9 Where in the Bible does Jesus say that there are many highways to God and righteousness? Actually, he said> 6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6 Where in the Bible does it say we are free to exterminate unborn children as we wish? Actually in Exodus 21:22, it says we should put a man to death life for life that has caused a woman to miscarry. The unborn baby is the victim of murder according to God. Sound familiar? Where in the Bible does it magically reverse its strict policy that homosexuality is sexual sin? Do you know what 2 sins were mentioned in leviticus right before and after it? Beastiality, and child sacrifce. That is what God thinks of homosexuality not to mention trying to corrupt an institution like marriage with an abomination like homosexuality. What kind of Christian would support that which the Bible condemns? If liberal churches that accept the world today and embrace it are your idea of what Christ taught, then I tell you the truth, you NEVER knew him.

Anything that is worshiped can be termed a god, inasmuch as the worshiper attributes to it might greater than his own and venerates it.
The Bible makes mention of many gods (Ps 86:8; 1Co 8:5, 6), but it tells us that there is only one TRUE God (1 Kings 8:60, John 17:3) Almighty God (Rev. 1:8)
He created everything in heaven and on earth. Because he gave us life, he is the only One we should worship.—1 Corinthians 8:5, 6; Revelation 4:11.

ok... think for a second:
if Jesus said that He is the "way the truth and the light" and no body comes to Father but through Him, was he lying or telling truth?
(a) if He was telling the truth, then there is only ONE way, and one religion is true.
(b) if He was telling lie, then ALL religions cannot be true, because Christianity would be out.
So the statement "all religions are true" cannot be true.
right?
There are plenty of time required to write more. I know that it is impossible to do it here. So, if you interested, (and see that there are only two actual possibilities - one religion is true or none) visit links I provided below:
~thanks~
p.s. no matter whatever one thinks thoretically there cannot be many gods. Ancient Greeks already showed it with plain reason. Just read it...
There is only One Triune God presented in the Bible - Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. God wants all people to be saved. But He does NOT force anybody. He gives people freedom to choose. PLEASE choose wisly !!!

I'm sorry that you think my belief is arrogant. I believe that there is only one God. If I said I believe there is only one me, it wouldn't make me arrogant or ignorant, would it? There is only one me. That's just the way it is. However, I will say that my belief is based on more than "just the way it is." I feel in the bottom of my soul that what i believe is correct (as I'm sure most people do--or they would change their minds).
As for Christians being the minority...up until a certain point in history a vast majority of people believed that the earth was flat. Turned out, they were all wrong.

this question may, as a matter of fact, come down to a single word in the jewish text being mistranslated. Consider Exodus 20 1-3, 'I AM the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt; you shall have no other gods BEFORE me' (my capitals). Now, most people and some bible translators put 'no other gods BESIDES me there, which means you can believe in only one god. But, no other gods BEFORE me simply means that Yahweh must be recognised as the principle god, hence allowing for a host of other deities to be worshipped simultaneously. Which the jews themselves did, freely worshipping gods like Ishtar and Baal. What we have today is a corrupted text which is the result of a small sect of jews, namely the Yahweh cult, which, for most of it's history, existed on the fringe of jewish theological life, but, gained supremacy in the struggle after teh temple was destroyed. Be careful what you read and how you read it. Be Enlightened!

According to Christians, there is only one God, and as for other gods, they simply do not exist because God has revealed Himself to them (Christians)and the others gods have not plus they do not have any power. This one God is a jealous God who knows that He is the only God and does not like to see people believing in nothings. My answer serves to inform you but not to convince you, believe what you want.

Cars are different... because we know that in time they will rust and fall apart, I don't care who made it, or how great that car is.... Eventually, the paint will fade and the tires and windshield will need replaced.....
God is unseen.... If one can look upon it... it is certainly not God... because there is no way it could create the universe.......
Not only that.... My God is made of three "family members"..... He has a son which we also call God.... known as the son of God.... because without him was not anything made that was made.....
But, I wont push my views upon any unless the Holy Spirit moves me or unless that person is willing to be ministered to...... If you ask, i will tell you if I know......
Your sister,
Ginger
