My puppies have been eating scented candle wax. It seems that since then they've been unable to keep anything down (food and/or water). They've also had diarrhea (no blood in either vomit or stool). They've been acting very lethargic considering they are normally tearing through the house barking at each other. Just today all they would do is lay on the couch. Noses are a little dry and slightly room temperature to the touch. I'm just wondering if it's the wax, or something more serious.

It probably isn't parvo, but something to do with the candle wax. More specifically a blockage from the candle wax. I would call or get them to a vet ASAP, as it could be extremely serious.

Wow.. Candle wax. Why on earth were they allowed to even get into candle wax?? If you're keeping puppies in house (even just one.. but definitely if there is more than one) you should have removed all the harmful things from their reach and should NEVER let them go without close supervision. If you can't watch them, they should be in a crate or other safe spot that will keep them from harm. And don't let puppies roam around outside or play with other dogs until they have had ALL their shots. Parvo is unlikely unless you've been letting them play outside, or a sick dog has contacted them. At the very least, they are experiencing blockage from the wax.. but more than likely they've also been poisoned by the scents and colorings in the candles. Poor things.. do the right thing and get them to the Vet... NOW!!

If it was just one or two, I'd say it was the wax causing a blockage. Since it's all of them and their behavior has changed so drastically, either they have poisoning from the candle scent, or they have parvo. Whatever it is, they're very sick. It's time to rush to the vet, and warn them that you're bringing in parvo dogs so you won't risk exposing their other patients to the virus.

Why would you let your little puppies eat candle wax? There are many different things in scented candles. They need a vet ASAP. The chemicals have poisoned them and can kill them. You are totally responsible for what has happened to these puppies. Do not let them suffer one more second.

I would almost say that it is your best bet that it is the candle wax !! Just keep an eye out for them until morning when i hope that you will take or at least call the vet

It could just be that they feel ill because of what they ate, but... the fact that they can't even keep water down is a worry. My previous dog was sick many times through her long life, and the one and only time she couldn't keep even water down, she was dying. I hope it's just the candle wax, but rather than risk it, you really should get them looked at, just in case.

Yes it's differently something they ate,it's been too long to give them a antidote,so try one teaspoon of pepto bismal for two to three doses each ,hold them up and slightly back, hold them against you on your lap and put your left hand over there muzzle toward the back teeth and push in gently on each side(there will be a gap on each side of the back teeth so you can get your figures in there)this causes their mouth to open and you can slowly pour in the Pepto, let them swallow and repeat carefully, they won't like it but it does the trick and let them rest the rest of the time, they won't want to eat during this time, it's instinct.Parvo...No.

likely not parvo there are a lot of other diseases and disorders that lead to diarrhea though. But a dog ingesting anything like that needs to see a vet

You need to get your puppies to a Vet now. Parvo kills without some expert help and it doesn't sound good for them right now.
