Im half Filipino & half white. My hair has really changed over the years. It used to be straight, but now its thick & wavy. About 4 monthes ago, i highlighted my hair blonde/darkblonde. It looks cute when its straight, but its caused my hair to be thicker. Im going to highlight my hair blonde & possibly red.

But i have to straighten my hair everyday because if i don`t, then the highlights wont show through as well. Should i get my hair professionally straightened ? Or should I get some type of cream to relax my thick hair ? Help, i don`t know what to do. I look mostly asian, I wish i had the straight asian hair ):

This is what you do, if you want to color your hair again anyway, you should get it done in a chestnut brown color with deep brown tones and honey brown lowlights. This will look more natural and won't require as much maintenence. Don't straighten your hair everyday. Just wash it, condition it, run some mousse through it. Let it dry then run some shine serum through it and brush lightly. You should be okay. My sister has hair like yours and I have extremely curly frizzy hair and I'm always wishing for her hair. So love your hair don't fight it. If you must straighten it, buy a CHI iron it's great. Oh and a great conditioner to use is by ojon. it comes in a little jar and sometimes you can buy it a bath and body works. otherwise you can get it off the internet.

Instead of straightening and cutting your hair, go to the stylist and ask them to "thin" your hair. They are called thinning sheers, one side is a blade and the other side is like a comb. Im sure this will help you out with your hair problem. It will still leave the length, but will thin out the bulky areas.

you want what you don't have.
I have the striaght asian hair and i wish i have the thick frizzy hair you have. If i have your hair, i would turn it into an afro.
Look for hairstyles that you like with thick frizzy hair. You might like your hair more then you think.

What ever you do,DON"T HAVE IT THINNED! DON"T HAVE A RAZOR USED ON IT! It can be a total nightmare and can take years to grow back and look normal again.
