My mother in law made a turkey on thanksgiving in a bag cooked on lower temperature for a long time and it was the juiciest I ever had, should i start high and maybe gradually turn heat low? I want my turkey to knock peoples socks off.

Thaw the turkey.
Place it in a roasting pan.
Pre-heat the oven to 475F.
Cook the turkey for 1/2hr per lb. (20lbs = 10hrs)
Cover with a sheet of foil and baste often after the first hour.
Your turkey will be golden brown and juicey, but you must follow these steps.
