How do I stop flash player from playing automatically on a web site?

I am currently the "web master" of a site that has this already installed. I can not get in touch with the person whom installed this. HELP please anyone

go to tools then internet options. Then go to programs and manage add-ons. Disable the appropriate ones

click on tools and select the 'disable flash animation' tab
