It seems like you will be his greatest resource. I have many Trini friends (one with a white husband). Once the mud ladies come, and rub him up, I am sure he will start swaying to his beat!!

Get him accustomed before your trip in a few months by buying some music and teaching him a few steps. I am sure the other women in your family will get him in to as well. He is probably going to look like a tourist because he is a white man in the middle of Carnival :)!

Teach him what you know and he will follow suit. I've attached a link that may help you help him.

Good luck, have fun, I am trying to get there myself!!!

Apparently Lois hasn't seen de white Trini ppl winin up in Carnival. Doh mind. A rum will help. He aint goin tuh leggo if he watchin who mackoin him. That sure to get him movin. You wind him up an tell him to keep up! It may be years before he can really wuk it up... but if he want to learn, he well on de way!

Good luck!

Just let him be and love him for who he is, great dancer or not. Besides, once the music hits him hard, it may come naturally.

Do the moves in bed while making love, or whatever you may call it, several times.
Then later make him do those same moves while standing and with clothes on (if clothes are need for Carnival)

Take him to Brazil, that's where the original Carnival is anyways.
