Try talking about it in a quiet manner explain to him that you are doing nothing wrong and could he please not worry about who rings you .Failing that tell him you have Aids and he could catch it from your messages on the phone.

maybe it's just he cares for you a lot or does'nt trust you for some reasons ask him kindly but firmly why does he do that if u already have then say you need some privacy uneed some space say people want some freedom after all ur 16. if nothing works then play a game read carefully for sometimes become papas boy tell ur girlfriends and friends not 2 send u any meesages or calls for 1 week if their is no message or call what will ur father check if he Q's why no 1called u say they tease u and say that they don't want to be friends with someone whose father checks all the things they send remember to tell ur friends this plan . WELL if this does'nt work then ask ur father to stop such things because it is not neccesary.

PArents can do what they want lol. I personally think it invades your childs privacy and created a barrier of trust between the child and parent. Some people try so hard to protect their kids that they dont realize that they are making them miserable and angry and making the child "hate" them soemtimes. I went through it. I am 24 now but back when I was your age (jesus I hate those words) my parents did it and now that I have a sonI can sorta understand. I cant imagine him being a teenager and me thinking he was out doing things that coudl hurt him. When you are a parent you will understand...but right now it sucks cuz hes invading your privacy. If he pays for the phone he has every right...and he has a right even if not. Maybe hes just trying to safeguard you. Gove him a break...parents are psycho o.O

hmmm... well i would first have to point out that your dad only cares about you and wants the best for you. secondly, if you are compliant and just let your dad check your messeges on your phone, then when a joke comes up you can simply explain it to him in a calm, ordered fassion, he might let the jokes slide. eventually he will trust that you are a responsible young adult and need your privacy.

Explain to your father that you are too old to be treated like a little kid. The two of you probably should have some family counselling together so your dad can learn to let you grow up.

well, if youre paying for the phone, and you have a job, and the phone is under your name, tell him to cut that S*** out. however, if HE is the one paying for the phone, you have no job etc, then it technically is his phone, and ur borrowing it. i dont know which the case is, but if the latter is the case, get your own phone, and then he has no say whatsoever about what is being transmitted over it.

Talk to him about it and explain that everyone needs privacy...
if nothing else works, get a cell phone and never let it out of your sight...

Obviously he doesn't trust you for some reason... Perhaps it is time to sit down with him and ask him what his major malfunction is... What is he trying to find???
Get a second phone and use that for the guys you chat with... ;)
