my son's cat was stalking a base ball cap that was laying in the middle of the floor. she seemed teriffied of this thing!! when she tried to slink past it, i moved my foot ever so slightly, and she freaked!! for a few seconds, she looked like a demented furry pretzel. after a moment of mid-air flips, she took off running, and smacked right into a table leg. i thought i was going to have to go to the hospital for emergency hernia surgery!!

Bill Bryson's book, "Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid." The parts about stealing beer and making the pipe bomb are particularly funny--no, really!!--but a lot of it is hilarious.
