He does this at least 4-5 times a day .Is this normal?Why does he do this ?

I have a cat that does the same thing, just let him have fun

I used to have a dog that did the same thing. Don't worry! I guess he's just a curious cat. But don't listen to the saying curiosity killed the cat. Animals don't mate on purpose unlike humans. Humans do it because they feel like it but animals do it from instinct. Oh well it's ok but how I finally got my dog to stop was every time he did that to one of his toys was I took it away from him each time and finally he just got so used to it that he stopped. It will take some time though. But not very long.

you're lucky, mine is doing this with me when I am wearing nice fluffy clothes! And he won't let go. It is an expression of his instincts if tenderness, mating, and dominance at the same time. This is a move they make, no matter if they are neutered or not. leave him his toy, since he is enjoying himself. You know, he could actually mate with a female cat - no kittens would appear, of course, but it is possible that he still can have sex.

He's just playing like a kitten will chase a ball around several times a day...no one took the time to censor and rate cat behavior...the poor cat doesn't know he's R or X rated.
Cats and dogs just never understood the rating system that's why they use the bathroom and mate in public. They don't know. Play is play and necessity is just necessity...neutered or not.

He probably does this because he probably knows he cant get a female pregnant and he uses the toy to get some action! If he continues to do this take away his toys and see what he does! Or you could get a female cat and see if he get aquainted with this cat and stops mating with the toy! Its your decision thopugh. Just trying to help!

Ask a vet, I've seen this happen before,i had a "fixed" doggy that turned lesbian years later and tried to mate with my other female doggy ,even though a male was there too! Go figure!!
