i adopted a dog, it's a boxer/german shepherd mix, but it makes me confused when some people tell me that she looks like a pitbull mix, she has white markings on legs, neck, long tail, playful & hyperactive but the teeth are not sharp compare to my German shepherd mix, does boxer have sharp or scissors like teeth?

It doesn't make difference it is a mutt. As long as you are happy with your puppy that is all that should matter.

White markings on the legs and neck are characteristics of the Boxer parent. The long tail is true of the GSD parent. Playful and hyperactive can be attributed to both breeds, as pups.

Sharp teeth? As pups, ALL dogs have little needles as teeth, until the adult teeth come in. After this, pretty much all breeds, again, have similarly 'sharp' teeth.

I really don't know what you are refering to when you speak of your German Shepherd mix....as you seem to have TWO German Shepherd mixes on hand.

In all, I don't know what you are asking here....do you think that somehow your 'second' adopted dog isn't the breed you were told? If so, you need to ask people who have seen the dog or at the very least submit pictures for anyone to have a real chance at guessing at the parentage.

And unless the guessers saw the parents, the would be doing nothing but guessing, as so many mixed breeds end up looking like a THIRD breed!

Boxer standard requires an undershot jaw. However when mixed they could have a scissor bite.
Other features could be a deep chest, high but small waist, prancing gate, and buggley eyes. Sometimes it could be possible that she is a pit/shep, however the shelter said Boxer to make it appear more family friendly and not leave with the Pitbull stigma. Anyone who knows Boxers know that they are family dogs, and interestingly enough so are Pits, people just misuse and misrepresent them.

People say many dogs look like pitt bulls....over active imaginations and all the media attention focussed on pitt bulls.

Pitt Bulls are not bred to a standard therefore they do not all look the same as per other breeds.

It is very difficult to ID a pure Pitt Bull.

Don't listen to other people. If you love your dog and she loves you that's all you need.
Mixed breeds are usually much healthier than purebreds anyway.
Look up on internet - just type in boxer and german shepherd.
Just enjoy your dog
