There has been much debate on the necessity of Niqab (veil worn my Muslim women). Doesn't the Holy Quran and Hadith say Hijab (headscarf without a veil) is enough?

I think the hijab is enough. That is all that is requested.

After a murderer recently escaped from England by a man wearing a niqab and using a stolen woman's passport------the laws are going to become more stringent.

Hijab is obligatory and Niqab is free choice of lady.
If she feel confirtable with niqab she has choice to take niqab.

In this day and age, with so many trails and tribulations in the world, I would say that I think Niqab (veil) is preferable. This is my opinion.

i am not a muslim but i will try to answer
as i know Hijab is according to Quran, while Niqab is for Muhammad wives who used to be married before Muhammad so they used to put niqab so their ex husband don't recognize them and thought about their ex relation. so its used for a special matter not for everyone to do so.
