A 16 yr old boy robbed a store here with 2 others,at gun point. This was at 5:30 AM.
The owner chased him down & got the gun & held him,at the risk of his own life, due to the fact that the cops probably would have never caught any of them.
The judge, who saw the kid just today, let him go home to his parents, because it was Christmas & he wasn't a flight risk with his parents! How laughable is this?He was out at 5:30 AM with a gun!
This judge never even heard the store owner's plea!
When are we gonna wake up & take control over all this garbage going on now?

the crime and sin is the way we parent in this country. get the homes right and a lot of these problems go away, no law or politician can teach our children how to behave, I have absolutely no problem with both parents working but when you add children to the marriage someone needs to be home with them all the time. day care doesn't cut it. this system seemed to prove itself effective for a couple thousand years. not sure why people thought we needed to change it.

I have had the sinking suspicion for years that all of our recent laws were put in place to protect the criminals, and let us the American citizen be trampled under foot.

It is sad and sickening to hear that a criminal was let loose just because he was a boy, and not a flight risk.

That's what we get any more with children raised with only timeouts.
Timeouts don't teach respect, or encourage discipline.
Even if the store owner had shot the robbers in the store, their families would have tried to sue him to death , with the news papers printing drivel like," They were such good boys, good providers, they loved going to church, etc".
The parents and the news would leave out the part about the boys liked to steal from the collection plate, and they boys were excellent providers because the knew a good fence for all their stolen merchandise.
I know for a fact even if you successfully survive an armed encounter it can cost you a bundle, in court costs.

This is one for Bill O'Reilly! He loves to take on cases like this one and expose (on the air) the injustice in our society regarding crimes like these and bad judges.
He'll do some thorough investigating of them too.....billoreilly.com.

Today, the system seems to be more worried about the criminal, than their victims. It is a sad state of affairs, no doubt about it.

Yea!!!! Let's have roaming death squads like in Central and South America. Let's bring back death by stoning, or how about burning at the stake? Why I bet I could ask you where the next christian Taliban meeting is and that you would actually know.
