The most important qualities for parents are to always love their child no matter what and do their very best to raise the child to be the very best it can be.

Higher education can play a factor into this, but motivation can just as easily play the same factor. Reading, asking advice, and learning as you go will help no matter your education level. The most important thing to remember in regards to education level is that children learn habits from their parents, especially when it comes to speech and behavioral reactions. Remember to try to speak properly (that means minimal nonsense baby-talk) and behave well around the child so that they will learn those qualities from you from the very start.

I would say, at times, it is important. But then again, those who are going thru a lot of problems in their family life, find it easier to study hard and make good grades so that they don't turn out like their parents.
On the other hand, parents can help their kids learn, but in the end, it depends on what kind of path the child decides to take.

I believed it is important that kids have educated parents. What will become of the children is very much a result of or in any way an influence of the educational attainment of the parents.

It may help & may be bad.
It's more important for the child to have parents who are able to show a genuine interest in all the child is doing, set a good example and to support them as well, as help them to the best of their ability. It's the teacher's job to teach.
Some highly educated parents are so full of themselves and their careers that they don't have time for their chidren or at the other extreme they push them to achieve too hard.
