Assuming the flight is a coach fare:

I will fly any Virgin flight or Lufthansa flight overseas. Virgin is a terrific company that treats their employees well- and their employees in turn treat the customers like gold.

Within U.S. i would go with Jetblue if you can, great rates (even last minute), great entertainment, and friendly staff.

Worst airline IMHO is Northwest: Extremely rude staff, no movie (even cross country), have to pay for everything on the flight, and no leg room, although I will admit most airlines have been dissapointing recently.

I like the Boeing 747's and 777's

I have heard that Southwest Airlines has the best customer service and customer ratings. I have only flown on Northwest Airlines, as far as commercially, I usually fly private. My last flight (during Thanksgiving) was slightly delayed upon arrival waiting for the gate clear. The crew past the time by asking trivia questions and giving away prizes (bottles of wine!).

My favorite airliner would probably be the Boeing 777, it would be the Concorde, but sadly it is no longer flying. Overall favorite past airliners would be the Concorde and the Lockheed Constellation. Both advanced for their day (Concorde still is) and beautiful to look at.

For most domestic flights I'd probably choose either the MD-80 series or Boeing 737. They are comfortable, safe and reliable. Not the fastest, but you can make that up with quick turnaround.

For longer flights I would pick Boeing products, 777 for Atlantic flights and 747 for Pacific. 747 is faster and has four engines.

For classic airliners my favorite is the DC-3 which is not competitive with any modern airliner. Second choice is Boeing 707--I've made five of my eight Pacific crossings in that type. Third choice is the three-holer--the Boeing 727.

well as far as legroom id have to say NorthWest Airlines from dtw to london on a airbus A 330.

as far as staff id choose america west airlines. their staff was very helpful when i had to be bumped from a flight.

as far as price id choose Southwest or Airtran airways. I like southwest but i wouldnt ever fly airtran again after they wouldnt honor a ticket i purchased from their website. Southwest is probably the winner with goos service, ok leg room and real cheap internet fares. like 49 bucks each way. hope this helps

My all time favorite is the Boeing 707, everything else after is only an iteration. I have recently flown on a Delta Embraer (their version of a 737-800) and was quite impressed with how comfortable it truly was..

If you meant airline and aircraft:
Delta Air Lines: Boeing 757-232
The 757 has always been my favorite plane. It looks nice, is quiet, very smooth, and efficient. Delta just makes it better.
