i think he's talking about the good relationships take longer to get. like, the slower the relationship is, the better it is because it turns out to be a good relationship. the quicker the relationship is, the quicker the relationship will end. i think this is true in a way. i mean, all the relationships i've seen with my family and friends who rush into things in the relationship have turned out into a break-up or being unhappy. the ones that take the relationship slow are more likely to be happier and at the same time the relationship turns to a good one. take for instance my cousin barry. he met this woman ana over 11 and a half yrs ago. they would spend a lot of time together, even going overseas together, and they had a good, solid relationship. they went through tough times, but what relationship doesnt? a lot of conflict went on because she wasnt what his mother pictured as his girlfriend, but he went against all odds and stuck with her. and the more yrs they were together, the easier it was for them. they just got married last weekend after being together as boyfriend and girlfriend for just over 11 and a half yrs, and now they are enjoying their honeymoon together without complications, and therefore hav bn able to have a good relationship. you can tell of the love and respect that they hav for one another. an average relationship people would have sex early in the relationship and as a result it leaves them both unhappy cos they would expect too much. for example, i have an older sister that got into a serious relationship. they had sex early in the relationship, and as a result he became obsessed with not just her but of the idea that they'd end up together, and when she broke it off with him for it, he changed his view on her and doesnt want to see her ever again. all after 6 and a half yrs together. if you make a comparison between the two of them, you would see which relationship is better to have.

He probably means that he is willing to wait for you, for whatever you told him he should be 'slow' with you. If you know him well enough to trust him on his words, then he is probably serious in having a long term relationship with you, and wouldnt mind the wait.

He means good girls don't put out right away.
Personally, I think that once adulthood is achieved, not putting out is a silly denial of a very enjoyable activity shared between to consenting adults.
If you're a young girl, then wait until college. If you're an adult, then why wait; life's too short and once you're married, you're done sampling.

In man's language this means; if you sleep with him he's gone in less than three months. If you don't ; he will be around for a good while!
