Who should recognize us???
Its our religion which teaches us not to hate other beliefs, and goes with modern science ( from ma thematic, Astronomy, coexistence of universe and milky way, test tube babies, cloning......... )
Let us understand it and not look for recolonization from others but explain to the ppl who bash at us in much polite way.

Whats your point anyway? I am a Hindu and I agree with you that it is an ancient religion. But that does not change the fact that we have a lot of things to improve upon before it can be acceptable to the world in general.
The original religion has been tainted and tarnished by the priests and idiotic beliefs by modern day 'militant hindus'.
If the world is presented by the original Hindu beliefs, it can be seen that there is NO MAJOR differences in Hinduism and other estabalished religious beliefs. Then you can start claiming teh greatness of the religion. Till that time - dont tarnish our image by blatant militancy of religious belief.

Erm - the origin of several old traditions, myths and religions date back to a remarkable date...
Recently they discovered a cave dating back 70,000 years with indications of religious artifacts, religious symbols, and shamism... previously the oldest such ritualistic behaviors had been dated back to at most 40,000 years ago... and more importantly, the people in the region have myths and stories (a religion if you will) that is confirmed and reinforced by the finding in the cave.
So their religious beliefs are now reinforced by 70,000 year old evidence... as archaeologists continue to explore, they find more and more elements that reinforce the truly ancient origins of 'modern' religions.
And certainly, of the surviving religions, Hinduism probably predates all of them... Judaism being the second oldest...

For the idiot who made the turtle shell comment. We do not think of the world that way.Actually we were the first to start believing in a round Earth. In the bible it said the Earth was flat.Do some reasearch and question your own faith before condemning other faiths. Why do Christians diss us so much when we respect them. That only shows arrogance and is against your faiths teachings.

I sincerely doubt it. humans appeared in India no more than 60000 years ago, and agriculture, kingdoms, bridges, etc. are not older than 8000 years.
It can be assumed that the time frame of the Hindu mythology has been modified.

i don't think that's possible but it will never be known since writing didn't exist before (about) 5500 B.C. Human history is unkown prior to that and one is left with only scientific testing to apply dates and knowledge of human history
