ok so i posted a personals ad on a website and this really cute girl replied to it and now we are talking through e-mail and i am supossed to call and talk to her on the phone she lives in my home town about an hour away from where i now live what is the next step after calling and talking to her and how do i go about going through with it i haven't had a serious relationship in almost 5 years please help me

Definitly call her first and make plans for a dinner (just my suggestion.)
and Importantly dont rush things!!! So you aleady know eachother talk about your day! Trust me taking it slowly is for the best.

Get to know her better first on the phone.When & if you meet,,Let her deside on where & what to do (unless you really dont like the choice she has made). Make it a public place but somewhere where you can talk. At a movie you cant really talk Or at a concert.Maybe like the zoo or something.Dont give out any personal information ,,keep it light while getting to know each other.Go into it as a friendship for starts then there wont be any pressure on either of you. It amazes me how I can give advice,,I havent been out alot either. I wouldnt have a clue as to what to do,,lol.Maybe the two of you can invite a friend & make it a fun double date.That would be a more relaxing time I think.

If you cross that threshold and talk to her on the phone, make sure you do that for a couple weeks, casually. If you make it without boring each other, or otherwise irritating one another, then ya just might be ready to meet her in person. Meet at a coffee shop or diner/cafe in the late afternoon. (not long after getting off work) That will reduce pressures, and feelings of feared expectations.
How old are you and she? Marital statuses and longevities?

keep contact with her and keep it real! it is what it is online! after both of you agree to meet someplace, go there in a crowded place with a cell phone just in case the person is a web nut! call 911 if you suspect anything out of the way! ps it might even be a good idea to bring a friend! good luck, love online is great if the internet was safer!

Call her up, be confident, be yourself. Set a short date to meet in a mall or a restaurant for the first meeting. Couple hours at most, so if it doesn't work out you won't be miserable. Compliment her and ask alot of questions about what she likes when you out on first date.

as you should always do when yo umeet someone onlline is to meet in a public place...such as a park pool or a pool at the YMCA (www.ymca.org)

I would say, go out for lunch.
Just prepare to meet a different person when you meet her because people don't look like the pictures they post online. They usually look "uglier" in person.
It wouldn't hurt to see her. If it doesn't work out for you then just ignore her. Just don't expect much.

I'd say ask for an afternoon date at a coffe shop or something of that nature. Make sure your around alot of people for safety reasons. If she's not into that, quit talking to her.
