"the faith we have doesn't matter, but what matters is that we have faith" -Serendipity. (Dogma, the movie)

the fact that we have a beautiful divinely inspired faith (a personal relation with God) should be the only important thing. and what that faith is should not be the important thing.

does anyone at all believe this?

Wow, that's deep yo! Let me tell you a story: About two years ago my brother decided to be atheist, then he started dating a girl who was Mormon and he decided that he really liked what they were about and he was baptized Mormon. For those of you who don't know the Mormon religion isn't very different from other Christian religions, but alot of people don't understand that. So, when I was telling some of my baptist friends that my brother was becoming a Mormon, they asked if I was okay with that. After giggling at the ignorance on what the Mormon religion was about, I said: "As long as he believes in God, I'm fine." So I guess my answer is, yes.

No. Having faith in a non existant god is of no use to anyone. Santa can not atone for sin neither can you have a true relationship with a non existant being.Faith in the true God is a gift that comes from God and through this gift comes revelation and a true relationship with God. Without the atonement we are either sinners worthy of death or we worship an unrighteous God who is in agreement with our sin. Jesus said it best wwhen he said no one comes to the Father but through the Son. He provided the atonement which is the way to Salvation.

If one truly believes this they can't have faith. Faith requires belief. How can you have faith in something you don't believe? Faith is a belief in something, not a belief in faith. It makes for good movie scripts and something cool for "stoners" to say, but it just doesn't work in real life. It is idiotic if you examine it at all.

It is like saying "It really doesn't matter that everything I believe is wrong as long as I believe it hard enough."

If I believed in a god, I'd believe this.

I think a God would know people will doubt him or at the very least believe in him and worship him in different ways. If he's half as forgiving as people say, everyone that believes in him should be fine.

I agree wholeheartedly. Who cares which god we worship? Who's to say which God is the right god? Who's to say any other gods are wrong? We all worhsip the Great One above us, by whatever name we use. I unclude Atheists here as well, because their Great One is knowledge and the use of their intellect.

by "god" you are obviously referring to Poseidon. I think it's important for everyone to have a personal relationship with Poseidon.
I praise him each morning with song and dance (even though I think this angers Zeus because my socks never match when I pull them from the dryer).

You are goofy! The entire religious foundation of Hindusim and Buddhism is based on this belief.
And , FYI pal, there are millions of us out here who believe in what you are TRYING to state.
Maybe, I should start educating people on looking up references to the Bhagwad Gita and the Heart Sutra of Buddha.

Yes they do.

And I agree that a personal relationship is what matters. Who cares what club you belong to, anyway?
